My Limited Edition Pinhole series, created with a homemade pinhole camera, made out of a cardboard box and developed in the darkroom, captures moments on the beach in Whangamata. The slow exposure, usually 6-10 seconds, removes details and the 'presence' of people other than my main focal point, which is usually a young female subject. It freezes time, whilst showing the movement of time. A memory, a moment, or perhaps it is all a dream. The emotions evoked from this feeling can be gloomy or optimistic depending on the viewer.
